Scraper Seal
Can anyone tell me the procedure for replacing the window scraper seal on a 90 964. This is the rubber seal that is at the bottom of the window & attaches to the top of the door frame. I thought it may have been a push fit, but it seems to be a sliding fit, similar to a windscreen wiper blade. I'm a bit confused as to what components I need to remove from the door to enable this seal to be removed & replaced.
Any help appreciated.

Sorry if I wasn't quite clear. I am talking about the seal on the outside of the doors, at the bottom of the window. They sort of wipe the window when you lower it
Mine have shrunk with age, and I am concerned that water will seep into the door.

seal replacement
hello,
seeing that your going to replace them you should order them and see how they are made and maybe you will have a better understanding how they are installed. you might have to remove the window.

Hi guys,
I did mine some time ago and IIRC the black metal strip which runs across the top of the door frame is a push fit into the top of the door. If you open the window and, from outside of the car, get your fingers under the window side of the strip and pull hard it will release from the locating lugs. I found it was only necessary to release the trailing edge since that will allow you to slide out the scraper and slide in the new one. Once you're done you can just push the black metal strip back into place.
Hope that helps,
Best regards
Dave

Dave,
Many thanks!!! I would never have guessed that it was such a simple operation. I'll give it a shot this afternoon, and post a couple of before/after photos.
Have a nice weekend everybody!

Easy peasy!
This turned out to be a 30 minute operation.
As Dave said, the scraper seal is attached to a metal strip that runs along the door, just below the window. It is easy to loosen with a screwdriver (protect with a towel or like).
You don't need to take the entire strip off. It is enough to loosen the end towards the back of the door, then slide out the old seal.
Clean the metal strip, slide in the new seal and push the metal strip back into place. Done!
