Default Front Suspension Attachment

I was helping instruct at our local PCA autox school over the weekend, and was watching a few 964's during our braking exercise. It seemed like the front wheel would move in the front to back direction (not up and down) as the abs came on. There were 2 different 964's that showed the same thing. It's was very obvious. The ground was wet (lovely rainy day), and it didn't seem to happen with boxsters, and the newer 911's.......

Anyone notice the same thing?

The 964 front suspension does have some forward/rearward compliance built into it. Curious that under ABS conditions the suspension movement is visible. Take two sets of monoballs and call me in the morning.

Could a worn ball-joint make the situation worse? If the tire is moving backwards and forwards that would affect caster?
