964 Factory Manuals
In the current April Pano that just came, Stoddards in Ohio is showing the 964 Factory Manuals, 7 volumes, part # WKD 482-520 as list $1,143.45 on sale for $900. As the 964 Factory Manuals seem to be NLA, if someone wants the hardcopy at any cost, here you go. (no affiliation, etc)

The CDs violate copyright. You could get into some legal hassles if there is a crackdown, and your name is on the customer list. From what I have seen, the CDs sold on eBay have poor scan quality. You can read the text, but the fine print in the wiring diagrams is not legible. The text instructions are useless unless you can read the diagnostic codes. In my opinion, that makes the CD a poor investment.
The books are legal, and show up on eBay a couple of times per year. Sale price has ranged from $250 to just under $400. That may go up now that the new price is up to $900.

Also the eBay CDs are just some unscrupulous person's way to make easy money. You end up paying $20 or more for something that cost them .10 and a half hour burn on their computer. Also, springer3 notes the legal implications. Are you going to get sent to jail for this? Probably not. Will the jerk selling them make a million bucks off his little business venture? Probably not. But maybe, just maybe if you hang around here long enough someone will send you a copy of theirs. Just so they have a backup copy in case theirs gets ruined, of course.

I've been told (i still use a dialup modem so I could never) that there is a newer version of the .pdf workshop manuals floating around the free P2P networks with perfectly scanned wiring diagrams that print (8" x 14") exactly (you can't tell the difference) like the genuine Porsche manuals (that I own).

I bought mine on ebay for $180 I think... A couple of years ago...(I think I misposted $80 in a prior post.) You can still find a deal on them if you wait. I have accessed them only a few times... But I always buy a set if I know I have a "Keeper". It's worth the investment. (As you can see!)

Illegal?
I asked my Porsche dealer, the one I bought my original from, about the CD's sold on internett in superb quality and he said, "Porsche do know but they don't care."

I just bought a full set on eBay last summer for about $350. They are a must have, though, if you want to maintain the car yourself. I'm using them now to guide me through my 30K service.

I stick with some of the others here. I got mine on eBay last year for $300. Then of course after you get Adrian's book and the Bentley Tech guide you are up over $400. The Bentley guide is redundant, but convinent to leave in the car all the time.
