Hi guys, I'm new on this forum, speaking to owners of 97' Porsche's modeles or older, was wondering if you were open to replace broken parts like air flow meter/gear shift/ or others parts by non Porsche parts (still very good stuff) ? I'm hesitating. Sorry for my English by the way.
964 RS Seats. Black fabric, white shells, never painted since new. Excellent condition. They have 944 part number stickers, likely because they were mounted in a 968 CS when new. Same seat, with a different stcker put on at the factory. If you can live with that, 10K $ plus shipping. Please spare me the *not a 964 RS seat* routine.
Priority given to buyers from Europe, since crating these is a nightmare.
Weekndr, how is the fitment? I read the CF ones don't fit that well compared to the OEM one. Thanks
You would be correct, these are a pain to get fit properly.
It can be done, but by loosening the top of the fan shroud and using heat to form the rubber around the top of the duct.
I did not have the patience to do this.
Smokey...still bummed you sold that car...fun project...
I know but it went to a warmer spot where it can be enjoyed....I miss it every day.... besides I got a new project to work on...a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400

I suggest replacing the part that the "top" seats in the fan shroud. The old ones are usually pretty stiff but a new part allows you to stretch it over the bypass pipe for a good tight fit. Before I did, it would come out every time I drove. Hasn't moved since the replacement part went in. Also a very simple swap if the heater blower is already removed.
