If anyone has planned a 993 Speedster conversion and not gotten around to starting the work and would like to sell parts, I am interested in buying the 964 Speedster
parts.
Selling the Alternator Fan for $189 + shipping. It is coming off a 92 C2 with approximately 98,000 mileage. Cracks appear minimal. Will provide more photos if you're interested.
Available again: Brand new Motion Control Suspension setup for 964
The Story: I made a decision to upgrade from the well-known Bilstein HD and H&R Green spring setup, looking for adjustability, and a fast road setup for my C4. I got the setup from Steve W. of Rennsport Systems, letting him select the spring sets for a compliant, yet adjustable setup for the car. My goal was to eliminate the jounciness and harshness of the HD/H&R setup and modernize all around. I like to drive back roads fast, but I don't need a hard setup for the track. The 2-way adjustability seems ideal for different missions with the car, and the springs are tuned to reduce road harshness yet be progressive when giving it the beans. I went through the car and did all the bushings and suspension upgrades, and did a test-fit on this setup in the C4. Well.. then things changed. I spotted the 993 of my dreams so I pulled this setup out of the car, having only been installed on the lift. The springs never even bore the weight of the car. (BTW, the C4 will be available for sale soon too...)
I change my mind, you win!
If you're into getting a great setup, with free configuration magic from Steve W. of Rennsport, this is your day!. I'd rather keep it as a set because this configuration is pretty ideal for the road going 964. It will bolt right up to a later 964, or if you have an early car (89-90) I can supply you with the spacer rings that need a little modification to work in your car. (pictured here in the center). You can read up on the 2WNR here: http://motioncontrolsuspension.com/2wnr/
I paid 4500 for the shocks and another 700 for the springs. I'll do the whole thing for $4200 + shipping. . Think of it as a mid winter pick me up! OR I'll sell you my whole car with these springs in a box for $45000. :-)
