Hi Nagib,
Sorry to hear about your did-not-go-as-planned dash repair.
Did you try the repair described in Porsche's TSB? I ask because I don't see removal of foam in their recommended repair. (Actually, I don't see much other than using a slide hammer).
Must confess, there is some consolation in knowing that people a lot more cosmetically demanding than myself have lived to learn with "the wave." And, as I wrote earlier, it's not nearly as unsightly as leather-gone-bad can look.
Good luck, Jamie!

Well just doing the Porsche recommended repair is not the full story. That's what I though when I first read it, but you'll soon find out that the vent cannot apply enough force to cure the bulge. This line "In addition, after replacement of a damaged dashboard cover, the defroster vent should protrude over the edge of the dashboard cover." says it all.

In the TSB you posted I read: Repair Information: Dashboard covers which have a wavy appearance in the area of the defroster vent can be repaired. In addition...
So, i think the whole repairing operation is to fix the wave as you like, then, to avoid further warping, keep it in place with the vent cover.
I'm scheduling this job for Christmas' holidays
