Unhappy "Great" surprise (photo)

This can happen when you park a 964.
"Obviously" the guilty is gone without leaving me his address.
Someone know Sherlock Holmes?

Thumbs down

TS,

I feel very sorry for you and can empathise with your pain. I live in terror of my car getting scratched / vandalised.

Was it a vandal or a parking dent? I can't tell from the picture.

Regards

That is so wrong. I had a lady do that back in 1990. A co-worker saw her get out of her car, inspect the damage and drive off. My co-worker showed me the damage, told me the story then smiled. He then gave me her licence plate number. She had to pay me $1200 plus court costs, fines and has a record for leaving the scene of an accident. I gambled the $$ in Wendover Nevada and walked away with $2700! Never got the car fixed. (It was a beater GTI).

I guess my C4 getting egged last night pales in comparison. Sorry.

And Lear60: I gambled there, too. Except it was called Bendover back then.

Riccardo:
"Was it a vandal or a parking dent? "
This is a good question! I don't know, but I hope it's not a vandal.

The only think a know is that it was a red jeep, it is impossible for a car to do a damage like that, in that position.

Like all of you have said, it's the worst nightmare for a Porsche owner!

We are organising a posse in Lausanne and hunting down a Red Jeep. All attendees will be deputised and armed on arrival. "Wanted dead or alive",

That really is terrible... If your interested I have a complete engine lid that I'm taking off my 1990 C2 (as soon as the new one gets back from the paint shop)I think it's the same color as yours. Slate Gray Metallic.

High, TS,
I was takin a closer look at the photos and I'm seeing vandalizm, if u look closly,
U can see actual "footprints" pointing to the right side of the car, i see 2 of them, the one on the left is pretty pronounced, then if u look at the center of Carrera 4 it looks as if someone stomped right there, under the 4 looks as if someone did a heel drop on it, theres no damage to the quarters or the bummper, I'd be real careful w/ this car after(if) u get it fixed. (out for blood)

Question

TS,

I was wondering where you left the car parked to find it like this? I mean, was it on a dark alleyway, or in a multistorey car park, or on a main road...?

Its suprising to see this happening in Switzerland, were people tend to be so respectful of property. Knowing how many Swiss people are, do you think someone might have reported this to the police?

Dear Riccardo,
The Swiss are generally respectful of others in their own way. However there are over 1 million foreigners (of which I am one) living here in Switzerland and 80 million more transit Switzerland every year. Could have been anyone.
Such incidents are on the rise unfortunately.
Things like throwing lumps of concrete off bridges and tunnels into the oncoming traffic.
Auto vandalism is also on the rise. Recent anti globalisation protests caused huge damage in Zürich. Any expensive looking auto was targeted.
Sad but true,
Ciao,
Adrian
