I have a policy with Progressive, it covers my '91 964 and a '00 Silverado extended cab. I have a clean driving record for 6 years, although most insurance companies only look 3 years back.
I have a $500 comp./coll. deductable and an additional $1000 coverage on easily removable aftermarket stereo equipment (rear speakers, deck, subwoofer enclosure, amp).
I costs me a little over $1400 a year...both vehicles!
Now that is quite a contrast compared to ten years ago when I was in the Navy, drove an S-10 and an '84 944...and had a few tickets - $2400 a year!!
Imagine my relief when I started getting coverage for half that and was driving a full size truck and an SC - as the years go by and I "behave", I certainly see the value in doing so.
