Default Electrical Guys: Where/What is "B15 B14 B13?"

Can you read wiring diagrams and do you have a copy of the factory shop manual? I'm lost and need a guide!

In a previous thread, I noted the loss of power to all the instruments, and discovered the #18 fuse (main fuse box under the hood) was blown. I disconnected the battery, and used an ohmmeter and discovered one side (closest to the windshield) of the #18 fuseholder is shorted direct to ground <arrrggh>. The other side shows +3 volts with the car turned ON (would be +12, I think, but the battery has gone flat when I left a door open all night in the garage). <arrrgh again>.

Looking at the wiring diagram on page 97-95 of the factory shop manual, I see near the bottom of column C that one side (input?) of the #18 fuse seems to get its power from a circuit called "TERM 15.E" which is connected to "R11" (a relay terminal...double-dashed line on right side).

It would appear when the car is turned ON, the R11 relay closes and supplies +12 v power to fuse #18 (as well as fuses #17 and #19, which are fine). So far, so good?

In the same diagram, the other (output?) side of #18 fuse shows only the numbers "B15 B14 B13". Since #18 fuse supplies power to "instruments" and "central informer" I looked really close at that separate drawing (97-85) but could not find any reference to "B15 B14 B13."

So, in trying to determine the next logical place to check the wire(s) from #18, I need to know where where "B15 B14 B13" are located or represent.

If you have the factory shop manuals, take a look at page 97-95 "central electrics" and also page 97-85 "instruments and sender" and tell me if you can figure out where the mysterious "B15 B14 B13" is/are located...

I did try looking under the dash and steering column (where the "central informer" is supposed to be fitted) and found no signs of worn/shorted wires. But, it's hard to see much at all.

I've only got a crappy copy of the wiring diagram, but if you look at the top of that page, there is a connector "B", and if you look at the pins, 13,14 and 15 of that connector have corresponding coordinates for where they go....... go B13 goes to L-55, so you look for the diagram which has a row 55, and look for column L, and then you will look for something that has the fuse...... Does any of that make sense?

Robert,
Look at the top of page 97-95 under the letter C, you will see connector B, and specifically B15 B14 b13.

B15 leads to L55, b14 leads to h46, b13 leads to k55.

If you then follow the numbers on the left hand side on the outside of the drawing you will see 55, then follow it over to the letter L and look for the terminal of the central electrics box marked b15.
After that you have to trace the wires to see where they go.

Good luck,
