Trade for 993 or spend on existing 964

C4-john0,
We can't make that decision for you. I agree with all who say "go with what you like best".
For me - I have had my RSA for 12 1/2 years now. I am so in love with it that if something happened to it I would probably seek out another. I love the classic style. I also love the way it drives. I have driven the 993, and decided I was happy with what I had.....
You could probaby drive a 993 faster, and smoother, with less effort. But is that what a sports car is all about?
Bottom line - that is my opinion - YOU should drive what YOU want........

I kinda agree with the rest of the sentiment here - I think in time the 964 will outgrow it's 'ugly duckling' tag to become one of the most beautiful 911's Porsche ever made... a perfect combination between old-world classic styling and new world technology... but that's just my oppinion..
For what it is worth, for the same $$ as a 993 you can get into a very well sought after 964 Turbo... I traded my '90 C4 in for a 91 C2T, and have never looked back... I like the 993, but I think if I had gone for one instead of the 964T I'd always wish I hadn't. I have driven the 993, 993CS, 993 TT, 993 C4S and none of them were as ball tearing and the 964T... all but the 993TT were slower, and the 993TT just seems a little too docile compared to the C2T. Perhaps it was the 4WD... it was very quick, but seemed to lack the 'bum-clenching' character of the C2T.
Good luck!
