Wow Brizey, that is quite a collection. I think it is safe to say you are my new Hero. Please stay on this forum, we need more people like you here. We really are a nice group of people. That trailer pic is really impressive. That C4 light weight must be a fun little Devil, i hope to drive one sometime in the future.

You think I need to?

The guy asked!

But I suspected it was a 'wind-up' (the rolleyes were a clue) . . .

Weird forum this, eh?

Think I'll stick to my VW Forums

Bye then . . .

Well, I was trying to pay you a compliment for having the taste, the time and the means to put together a collection that many of us can appreciate. You are not the only one to "have it bad" as you say. It is entirely up to you if you find this forum weird, but I'd perhaps gently offer that not every comment has hidden offensive meaning.

Ciao

Thought that the RSR usually referred to the 3.8 wide body version of the 964....

Saw the article on your 2 "special" RS's in 911 & Porsche World...fantastic stuff.

Oh yes, I am certain that Ruairidh had no hidden agenda....he's been on this board some time and has never been known to be one of the offensive ones.

Another thing Brizey...you forgot to post a pic of your silver 993 up as well...

I remember seeing one hiding in the pic of your garage....

Brizey,

Andy's rolleyes weren't a wind-up - I think they were meant to be relating to the possibilty of some 'non-car' pics!

R's 'impressed' comment wasn't sarcastic - he is (as am I) genuinely impressed! What 911 enthusiast wouldn't be?! You most certainly don't look like you are the type who would try to impress - your reply to John's photo-visit request shows that. Anyway, R is an ex-pat Brit, so he can't be all that weird. Then again...

Rennlist is the finest Porsche forum in the world. The 964 board is the friendliest here. Adrian may bite people's ankles sometimes, but that's just because he wants to protect his little band from misinformation and uphold Rennlist's reputation for technical expertise. That and the fact that he's Australian.

Your cars and knowledge would be a very valuable resource here and you will be made very welcome.

Over-sensitivity is a British failing, I know, but, as so often, your offence is genuinely down to a simple misunderstanding. The fact that it arises from the comments of two Brits is a bit amusing, no?

Piers,
I nearly made the same mistake as you! - It was Andy who did the rolleyes, not poor old Ruairidh!

Still, this is making quite an entertaining sub-thread!

Apologies if got it 'wrong' and no offence meant . . .

New kid on the block . . . fish outta water . . . etc . . . I guess

I don't have pictures of all of them . . . the 993 being a point in case. I bought this the 'hard way' (ie NEW from PGB) it's a R/HD C2 and I've only managed to put 15K on the clock . . . I prefer using the older ones

I've also got a 356SC Cabrio (pictured on trailer) a Signal Yellow R/HD 2.4S (no pics) . . . R/HD 2.4Ss are actualy rarer than 2.7 Carreras . . .

I've also got a Black/Red Script 2.7RS Tourer (no pics) and a couple of 'Hot Rods' and a few bikes . . .
