Post Need bumper cover for dual exhaust

I want to put in a dual exhaust output on the C2. Anyone know where I can get (new or used) left/right side bumper cover with the proper exhaust outlet cutout?

thanks,
anthony

Talk to the guys at FVD-USA. They've got a left rear valance with a PROPER exhaust cutout for $250. Not cheap - but it beats the hell out of hacking your valance with a reciprocating saw!

Performance Products used to carry the left rear valence with exhaust cut-out--don't know if they still do. $250, as I recall.

FYI, that's MEGA cheap!

Just the bumper corners alone from the factory lists for over $500!! ...I know, just bought one for the right side.

If I had to do it over again, would get the $250 one.

I didn't have to pay FULL retail, thank GOD!

Thanks.

What do you think is a better exhaust? $1K for Fabspeed dual output, or $300 for Dynomax job from a muffer place?

My future plans/dreams for my C4 do not include either solution. I want to get to a "true" dual exhaust starting with new headers, eliminating the cats and the heat exchangers and dumping into either two independent mufflers or a dual in- dual out muffler.

If you look at the "stock" 964 exhaust configuration it's a plumbing nightmare! The 964 has that silly little exhaust crossover from the right to the left, a primary muffler, some more tubing then another muffler, what a mess!

I'd really like to "simplify" the exhaust configuration as described above. Yes, it would be loud, but I bet it would provide a nice performance boost.

For all those hobby minded folks. I have made a two piece mold of the left side, exhaust out. All from factory parts. Fiberglass is cheap. Fun little project! I can post pic's if anyone is interested..

I bought the Performance Products one a while ago and I really liked it.
Great picture David - that looks awesome!

But, when I started looking around at other 964's at some track events, I noticed that several folks had dual exhausts, but they just cut away their existing bumper cover. True - you would not have the original piece - so if that's important, maybe this is not an option. Personally, after seeing some of the work on the other cars, I wish I had gone the cheap route.

I went the cheap way and cut the rear bumber to accept the exhaust tip. Actually one of Fabspeed's guys did the cutting and it turned out great. He spent a least an hour measuing and marking before cutting. Since it is a track car I was not concerned about degrading the value of the car. Once you make the decision to gut the interior and weld in a full cage you've pretty much given up on selling your car to anyone except a real track junkie.
