What is recommended to lower the 964's?

YES, let the search be your guide.

Then, carry yer bum over to <a href="http://www.porsche964.co.uk" target="_blank">www.porsche964.co.uk</a> and peruse the "Technical" section to find a few good/comprehensive articles on suspension choices and procedures to change the various components out.
