Post Bugger!

Well, had to go into Oxford yesterday, a place I detest at the best of times, and some prat pulled out on a bike and forced me to swerve into the kerb.

Now I've a nasty gouge in one of my alloys. Just weeks after having them refurbished.

Arrrghhh! <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

Never mind, Phil - a trouble shared is a trouble doubled. Or something like that.

Picked up 964 with new clutch at W/E...wow what a difference, car is transformed, clutch so light, gearchange so slick, I'm annoyed at what I've been missing!!

But.....oil tank is perforated and leaking....expensive...it never ends with this bl**dy car!

How about '964 Owners Anonymous'?

Nope, no Porsches in Oxford - they've made it practically impossible to drive into the city.

Of course, a Porsche bicycle could be used if you didn't mind being choked by fumes from the buses run by about 50 private companies... <img border="0" alt="[soapbox]" title="" src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" />

Phil there seems to be a pattern emerging here...

I suffered terminal understeer on wet leaves - which caused the car to move about a meter to the right. Unfortunately I was only about 90 cm. from the kerb !! - but this happened just a week after I had the wheels cleaned and painted.

Maybe the moral of the story is not to refurbish the wheels ?
