Post Worst car ever driven....

I propose an interesting poll:

Assumed 964 is the BEST...
what is the WORST car you've ever owned/driven? And why?

Ironically, it was lent to me by my Official Porsche Centre whilst my 964 was being worked on -

a 1996 (or so..) diesel Golf. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />

Horrid, horrid car...

slow, noisy, crude. Thoroughly unpleasant to even be near, never mind drive!

I am not a car snob but, next time, vowed I'd just walk, even if it was raining!

That would have to be a little Fiat 127 type of car I drove in Africa.
While I was driving along the keys fell out of the ignition when I hit a ditch. The funny thing was that the engine kep running.
So there I was driving along with one hand on the steering and the other looking for the car keys. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

Gives a new definition to "Keyless Go"

I test drove a 1989 964 manual before I bought my car. It ranked pretty close to the worst car I've ever driven!! Simply awful - but I expect it was just that articlar car, not manual 964's in general!!!

High,
I think the year was 1987 Chevrolet Mini Blazer,
this thing fell apart in front of my very eyes, evoking fits of rage against the thing(kicking doors in, throwing **** at it, I finnally got rid of the thing and vowed never to get another Chevy, I broke down last year and picked up a 2001 Impala, which I am very pleased with. Actually it helped me make my decision to get a Porsche(the Blazer), I wanted one, but it helped me justify the expense, I was paying some 400 a month for that P.O.S.

I test drove a 964 Tip. Not for me AND it smelled like the elderly woman who owned it.

My wife and I took a vacation to the California wine country. We rented a convertible Chrysler Sebring. What a pig! No pickup what-so-ever. I thought I was going to have to push it up the California hills. I've seen oil tankers with a smaller turning radius! ....Let's talk about luggage capacity, or the lack thereof. During one part of our trip we had another couple in the car with us and had to balance one of our bags in between them in the rear seat.

For new cars, I agree that the Chrysler Sebring is near the bottom. The worst I ever owned was a Fiat 124 sedan that would fall apart even when standing still. I once had both vent wing handles fall off while stuck in traffic, the second falling off about 5 minutes after the first. However, that car solves the problem of disposal by completely turning into rust, leaving only a few rubber bits behind. AS

Please, please, please...the worst car ever was my first car that I bought for $35American in 1967. A '52 Plymouth wagon with a flat head six and 3 speeds on the column! It ran on 4 cylinders and would go 53 mph in 2nd and (when you could get it in 3rd) 51 mph in 3rd. Exorcist puke green... I had to pay to have it taken away when it soon died...

Talking

Leyland P-76, Volvo 240, Morris Marina and the vast majority of American cars I have driven. It is always a toss up between the Lincoln Towncar or the Leyland P-76.

Funny how many Fiats I've seen listed on here. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

My worst car was a Fiat X/19 that I owned for four days...took it back to the dealership and told the guy I would kick his A__ if he didn't credit me for another car!!

True story, wound up with a friggin' Vega! <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />

That would be my 1988 Vauxhall Nova (Opel Corsa) 1.2 Designer which is in fact my run-around car at the moment. It smells vaguely of urine (nothing to do with me) and when you turn the wheel to go round a corner, it generally takes up to a second before the car actually reacts to the input! Also, the suspension is so soft that you have to hold on to the hand grip on the opposite side of the car to stop yourself falling out of the window when cornering....

Great car....
