Bump.

Sunday Feb. 27th - feel free to post questions, etc. on here but would intended attendees please drop me an email?

Note - fear not, this is a very relaxed, loosely organised type of thing. You bring along a picnic and a love of Porsches and great roads, and the rest just happens...

Forgot to ask - how many people have committed/expressed an interest to go so far?

Well, IIRC, correctly, there's Paula and I, Rob, Rob's friend Mark with the GT3, Andrew and another 964 owning friend.

LOL - that sounds like, 'Well there's the guy with the 964, then there's that 964-owning bloke, someone with a 964 and then there's the 964 bloke, oh and a friend of his with a 964.'

All to be revealed very shortly.

I think we are up to 5 964s and a GT3 at the moment.

Oops! Make that 4 964s, a 965 and a GT3!

Pesty, it won't be too long until the next one.

John,
Just wanted you to know that it put a big smile on my face to read that sentence. I'm so glad that her condition's improved. Congratulations, John.

Thanks, Brian.

Paula actually read your post over my shoulder as it came up.

Nowadays, she just has the viscious old MS to cope with.

OK, everyone, here's the plan.

Just out of Ruthin, on the road to Denbigh is an Esso petrol station. It's a white, brick building on the left, with a nice, large forecourt.

If we aim to meet up there at 11.00 am on Sunday morning (Feb. 27) then that should give us the best part of the day to play with. Bring yourself a picnic.

If anyone is coming, but looks like being late, please ring my mobile on 07802 805725 and we'll either wait for you, or tell you where to find us. We'll probably set off from the garage around 11.20.

Note: Remember that North Wales is a hotbed for speed cameras and traffic policing. You will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy your car on some fantastic, open, sweeping roads but, in areas where you can't see if there's a camera or not - watch out!

Also, this is NOT a driving competition or competitive day - the only 'success' comes from enjoying yourself, your car and the company of like-minded people. Slower than everyone else? So what? Just relax and have fun.

P.S. Keep an eye on this thread for a late cancellation if the weather looks bad.
