964 Cup Mirrors vs. Tear Drop ???
Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences with the Cup series mirrors? Who carries Cup mirrors?
Thanks for your help.

They seem to be similar to the Ruf item:
Positives: Aerodynamics, unique styling
Negatives: Not powered, limited visibility over flags, you'll need to fill in/paint holes left in door by Factory parts.
I believe www.fvd-usa.com offers a similar item. I'm sure it's a pricey little upgrade, as well, but if you want the ultimate in aerodynamics, this has got to be on your short list.

I use the Cup mirror as on the pic above, I only have the driver side on at the moment. A good idea is to take the mirrors off their holders and have wide angle mirrors cut to fit. I used generic wide angle mirrors from a car parts shop and brought it to a glass/window shop. They cut it for me for 20$. It helps tremendously. Otherwise, they are about useless. They need to be aimed at the blind spot anyway.

I had the same reaction when making the switch. I purchased a wide angle piece for the passenger's side (sold through Performance Products) which attaches with 3M mounting tape and is cut to fit. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate it on their website but it's in the "mirrors" section of their catalog.
The difference is noticeable but the angle of view is still not as good as the flags.

I wouldn't recomend them for road use.
They were even outlawed on the track when a requirement came in for a minimum surface area of 110 sq. cm. in, I think, '93 or '94.
