Default Seinfeld's "Airborne Turbo"....?

I've spent a couple years ...on and off... looking for this "photog" and tho't it would be a poster, but I have been unsuccessful in my searches.

This photog shows up on reruns of Seinfeld on the wall in his apartment as a poster/picture or whateva. It shows what I believe to be a 1988 or 1989 Turbo from the rear end "airborne" .... all 4 wheels off the ground. The caption states (in the advertisement)... "One ride and you will realize why most rocket scientists are German", yada, yada. I don't think the quote is in Jerry's picture.

I have a rather poorly removed Porsche advertisement from AutoWeek dated, April 3, 1989 with this ad.... altho I remember that this ad occurred in several magazines in that period of time.

I'm trying to locate a poster of this advertisement. Or, have one made. Anybody know where I can find it? Looked nearly everywhere I can think.

TIA.... BAGGER

That's the pic that started it all for me! Ever since I saw that way back when, I was a convert!

If you find a clean one, Bagger, please pass along the link!

Bagger,

That poster was sent out by Porsche NA to prospects/clients etc. Porsche would send them out with your last name in the tag area as a personalized tag etc, just like they did with the recent 997 posters. Difference being the new 997 poster looks printed as my name appears to be printed with the car, not afterwards vs the old poster was a stick on they placed in the tag area. As to finding a poster, no idea.

Dan, thanks for the vote of confidence! Yup, I'm happy to help!

With the right pics, it should be fairly straightforward. Anyone with some shots of their widebody from the rear taken close to the ground and at a good resolution?

Where is the print located, in terms of layout? Any suggestions for font? Bagger, can you scan the ad and post (if it has the tag line)

Also, if yopu would like to send a picture of your car taken from a similiar angle at least I can work up into a close copy and ad in some personalized details...just shoot a PM!

Howard.... very kewl idea you have. The wholeshebang looks like the post from Dan a couple posts above. I have it on disc and CD, but I'm not that savvy regardin' how to send photogs to the board. But, I'll try....

BTW, I just got my car yesterday (in the pouring rain, remnants o'Ivan) from NJ. Cleaned it up this AM in 48 degrees and drove it to the shore for lunch with my SO. I took some photogs this afternoon, but none that will show like what Dan has from Don's site.

Perhaps, I'll try to send you the photo from Don. A scanned magazine advertisement will have too many "dots" when enlarged. Pixels? I don't know how that relates, but that may be a problem as well.

What IS good is... the original is DARK! I guess this is helpful.

I'll try to send or post the picture from Don (not Dan). First, I'll have to locate "how to post pictures"....... ugh.

TIA, Howard..... BAGGER

bagger - if you email Don W, he will gladly send the pic to you(or Howard) in full resolution.

he pulled the pics from his site for copyright reasons.
