RS suspension for 964 C2 my90
Hello to all Porsche drivers
I have just bought this amazing Porsche 964 Carrera 2 model year 1990. After reading lots of posts on your bulletin board I think that I want to fit the RS suspension to my car.
But there are a few problems:
- where can I get RS springs and dampers that fit my car - from what I've read here the OEM RS-suspension doesn't fit my 1990 model year car?
- I don't want to fit the monoballs yet. Maybe I go for them in the future, but for the moment I basically just want dampers and springs with the same rates the RS used to have.
- What were the geometry settings of the RS?
- From an older post I got this infomation:
Porsche Carrera RS springs
Front 250-308 lbs/inch (113kg-139kg)
Rear 375-508 lbs/inch (170kg-230kg)
Thanks for any help

You may want to read the article here on the installation of the Carrera RS suspension on a 1990 C2. There's also an article on installing RS swaybars here . Another good suspension upgrade artile is here
The Carrera RS suspension requires monoballs in the front. You'll see in the first article I adapted the stock rear mounts to work with the Carrera shock/spring combination (note, my RS springs and rear adaptors are for sale, email if interested). I was pleasantly surprised at the front monoballs, and didn't notice any ill effects as are sometimes described for other cars. However, if you really don't want to go the monoball route, then Bilstein HD strut/shock with H&R or Eibach or other brand of progressive springs would work fine for you.
