My fan was sprayed by the local dealer (rather well), I am told this is better than powder coat as the powder coat can lead to an imbalance on the blades or blobs on the outer edges.

While you have access to the back of the alternator you might consider checking/replacing the voltage regulator - brushpack to see how the brushes are doing... (The doohickey above and to the right of the shaft in your 3rd pic)

I checked the I.B.I (Inernational Bearing Inetrchange) and there's no bearing with 17mmx32mmx14mm double ball designation. The I.B.I has the goods on most bearings made in the world, so I suspect that my dimensions are wrong.
BTW, I painted my fan orange to match the orange seal on the airbox..gotta be color coordinated ,ya know. As you probably know, painting the fan, emptying the ash tray, and adjusting the rear view mirror adds 10 hp. to the wheels.
