HAIL damage......
Not to the 911 RSA!
My wife was caught in a hail storm in her VW Passat. Nothing broke the paint. It is a 2002 she is in love with - and we plan to keep it a while. You can not see the damage that much - but at the right angle, or lighting, especially when the car is washed, you can definitely see a ton of little dings.
Anyone have a solution for this? I have heard of paintless dent removal. I even remember hearing about special kits you could order to do it yourself - One of those TV adds that makes everything look easy!
Any advice, or products on the market, would be helpful.........Thanks!

Those dent wizard guys are pretty amazing with what they can get out. I've been to a couple of detailing clinics where a Dent Wizard specialist has been there and it's impressive. My only caution would to be to go with a known firm since there are probably soo iffy ones out there after all the storms that have occurred. I'd post on the BMW board as well and ask if they have any favorites in your area.

I agree with the other posters, but you have to certain to find a guy who has a load of experience because these are the most difficult sort of dents for him to work on. Most of the good ones will only promise you to improve the situation, and many times that is all that can be done without replacing major panels (not what you want, I'm sure).
When I did several dings (similar to hail marks) on the aluminum hood of a black Miata (about as tough as it gets) the paintless guy fixed it okay -- I c ould still see where the marks were, but no one else could unless I pointed them out. IIRC, he charged me $140 for 5 dents, a major bargain I think.
The kits you see on TV are a waste of money, imo (and a body man I use agrees).
