Should I change my stock '93 C2 suspension to my old/er lowered Track set-up, or leave it alone?
I've had an Eibach/ Koni set-up in my '91 C2 for almost 3 DE seasons ( here in New England, tht's not much time!) As some are aware I went for pretty much full blown custom Track set-up. Anyway, I thought I get some opinions.
I'm leaning toward leaving it alone, as I don't see many "Stock" 964's anymore, and a few $$$ would feel pretty good
FWIW- it's progressive, and lowers the front by appx. 1.3"

Bill,

If maximum return on your investment is a consideration, stock wins. If maximizing your personal enjoyment weighs more, and you were pleased with the Eibach/Koni setup, go for it (the incremental cost is installation and/or alignment). You can always reinstall the stock components come sales time, too. All that said, there is something neat, and anymore unique, about driving an unmolested Porsche.....

I agree with Bill. In general, keeping a car completely stock is more attractive to prospective buyers. I've kept all of my parts so I can return the car to 100% original when the time comes. I even kept the original flag mirrors.

I agree with Peter. If the value of a stock 964 is important, then keep the stock parts. You can change back to stock whenever you want.

Whether a stock 964 is such a big deal is equivicable; However, since you already have a non stock 964 and have no good reason to molest this one, my vote would be for originality.

I vote for a change. I used to have Eibachs but with original shocks. The ride was a lot nicer than stock, IMHO. They're certainly not as harsh. And wouldn't that appeal to prospective buyers?

You have 2 cars, why mod both? (And this comes from someone who like Tony has modded the sh*t out of his car)...

If you are planning to race the '93, won't you need to modify (lower) the car to be competitive? I don't race (can't afford it), and I am perfectly happy with the stock settings. I also need the ground clearance to keep from skinning up the chin and belly.

Well, so far it looks like I'll leave the '93 alone. Though there is some temtation, since the ride w/ the Eibach/ Koni's on the street is fine.
Before I go the ebay/rennlist/ Pano route...anyone interested in the package? I beleive I can put up a seperate For Sale post here??

Do you have the NLA red Koni's or the yellows? The reds were at one time a hot item--though I don't recall exactly why. Anyone?

Mine are Yellow, Black springs. Have a couple of e-pics, and will try to post if not to large. Otherwise send me a PM and I can forward pics.
I also have the "numbers" and more specs that'll post if there's interest.
