Driver Window advice needed
Dear all,
Hope you are well.
My driver side (right side as UK based) window failed recently and so I stripped things down to find that the window lifter rail had completely corroded away - a rusty mess! So I ordered a new lifter and rubber and then re-assembled the whole thing, along with greasing the regulator.
It worked for a time but unfortunately has failed again, I suspect the glass has lifted out of the rubber seal as it is now completely free.
My question is should the glass/rubber be bonded in place? Presuming that it needs to be bonded otherwise how does it stay clamped into the regulator?
Grateful for a steer!
Cheers,
Tim
