993 Seats in 964
Is there anything special I need to know before I buy some 8 way pwr supple leather seats to replace my 4 way pwr seats in my 964?
Was the same seat harness used for all c2's ? wired for 8 way? or were there seperate harness' used of 4 way and 8 way?

I believe the rails are different and need changing. I know there is a lot of knowledge on this board around this subject and I'm sure someoen will chime in with the answer. A search might yield good results too!

The 993 seats are a straight bolt in. The harness is identical. I replaced my tired 4 way adjustable seats with 98 C4S 8 way adjustable seats earlier this summer. Took me about 30 minutes. That included drinking a beer - imported no less

They are a direct bolt in. One thing to be careful of is to not strip the hex bolts. That is easier said than done. You might also want to buy a allen ratchet which is alot easier than a traditional allen wrench. This will take your 30 minute job down to 15.

On the Bolt issue
There are 6 bolts per seat - the are very easy to strip esp. the rear ones.
what i always did when switching seats was
you need a long 6mm hex wrench or extender on a socket
1. disconnect all the wiring (seat belt and seat) - Car off of course
2. pull the seat all the way forward and remove the 2 bolts on the rear of each rail
3. move the seat all the way back and remove the front bolts
be very careful removing the seats from the car - the rails snag easy
installation is the reverse of the above (hint slide the rails forward on the new seat befor you put it in the car.
Give your self an hour or so the first time (the bolts can be hard to get to and replace)
enjoy your new seats

Im not sure I know the difference. This is the seat I most commonly see in 964's.
Now that I look at my post from the 6th I am aware of an error I made , I could have swore I typed "very cheap " or something to that effect .I was hoping to get a couple hundred for them. But since I did post "no charge" I will honor that.
