Default Front splitters from the 964 Turbo

While at Tweeks a few weeks ago, there was a great 1994 964 Turbo S in their museum. I noticed on the front end that it had a pair of aero splitters that attached directly to the bottom of the stock underbody panels. Very clean and simple looking. I call my local Porsche dealer and he says "No problem, easy to get". He says they are not pictured, but they are listed. So I order them and receive two of the underbody panels, part no. 965-505-151-01-01C and 965-505-152-01-01C. Obviously, they are the standard underbody panels for the Turbo model, and not the splitters that I had wished for.

Anyone have an idea of the correct part number for these splitters? I do not have access to a PET. But my dealer has been pretty good about parts in the past.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Default Are you sure they are a Porsche part?

I checked in the PET and nothing stood out. The part you received is what is listed for the turbo "vent" panels. None of the drawings show anything different from stock. Can you see it on their website?

The front splitters you're looking for were called option X92 (i'm guessing exclusive department?). They might be part #A 000 043 300 10 but I'm not 100%. If nobody knows here than your parts manager can send an email to someone at Porsche and they'll find it although it may take two weeks.

Thanks Eric and Jason. I know the dealer found the underbody panels, then he found another item, which he thought was the splitters. But apparently, they were not. Thanks for the part number. I will give those a try.

Hi, do you mean these?

In a matter of fact I'm looking for the same front splitters. In Europe it seems very hard to find.

Have a look at this; you'll see these are front splitters for a 964 3.8 RSR:

Steve,

the part numbers you are after are: 965.504.125.02 and 965.504.126.02. These do not show on PET.

JasonAndreas, you are right, these turbo 3,6 S splitters were indeed option X92 (made by the Exclusive Dept), however the part number you have provided is for the Tequipment front spoiler, whose lip is not as pronounced as the turbo S splitters - it is actually what Techart now sell as part no. 065.100.100.009 (see http://www.techart.de/Techart_Katalo...spoiler1_2.htm to get an idea of the way it looks). Also check the following thread https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...readid=134012, you will see pics of my car with the front spoiler that JasonAndreas is referring to just visible - BTW I have also bought the original turbo S front splitters (along with an X93 rear spoiler), but I need to find the time to remove my front bumper cover for a respray and install the turbo S splitters as well.

If you need any more detailed pics, let me know - I will get you some.

Best regards

Emilios

You can buy 964 splitters from Porsche through their Tequipment line (picture is in recent PCA article on 964 track preparation). Part number 000.043.300.00 (they show as stock to be used up, so it sounds like when the current stock is gone, it's gone. Same pieces are avail thru Techart, too). They replace the black plastic bottom pieces. Of course the usual suspects also offer their own versions.

Hey Eagle,

Thanks for the reply and cool picture. I don't think the ones in your photo are the same. The ones I saw attached with screws directly under the stock underbody panels. The owner said it was box stock. If I can find a photo, or if I buy them, I will post a photo.

Thanks again,
Steve

sullivs,

You can take the splitters off the turbo underbody panels easily and mount them to your existing panels. The turbo panels are slightly modified from the standard turbo version by having vents cut into the underside but you do not need these.

Hi PC2, yes it is , isn't it

It's my wallpaper on my PC at the office this month.

It's due to your pictures that I started looking for those front splitters.

Have a great one!
