Thanks Greg!

Dave R, the pinstripes must go! I am looking for some new seats to save some weight! Hmmmm, more money...

nine51, again thanks, and you can have the seats when they go! I'll post some dyno results after the car has been mapped after being run-in. Your 951 sounds fast.....

Christer,

I do like those wheels, great choice......now center caps or not, would they spoil the slightly aggressive look they have?

Christer, great to find out (belatedly) that your car is on the road and the wheels are a success. If you are concerned about the rub but do not hear loud scraping noises then the rubber smell is probably due to 'spirited driving'. When I occasionally rub my arches (if I have passengers in the rear for example) it makes a very obvious loud rubbing noise.

Please keep us posted regarding this very interesting project!

Hi Graham

Thanks for the kind comments. On the rubbing issue, they seem to rub a little bit occasionally on the inside if you see what I mean, not on the body work per se, so I am not sure I would hear it but will have to keep an eye on it. After the rebuild, it would seem that my lower left (as you look from the rear) cam cover doesn't want to seal properly so there are a few drops escaping from there. The oil although in very small quantities is blown around and coat the bottom of the car as well the rear LH wheel.....sigh....so I am trying to avoid payin OPC prices for the cam covers...Thanks Rob, I called Simon and he will revert...
