Default 964 Handbrake; more!

Mine is different to the other post here; my wire is connected okay but when grounded no light appears on the dash.

Any ideas on what goes wrong?

Many thanks.

Good point.

Where should the handbrake light be? ie on which clock and whereabouts!?

I can't actually check (even though mine works) because my car's not here at the moment - but I think it's at the bottom of the rev counter - if you shine a torch (or flashlight depending on where you live!) then you should see where it should be.

It's one of those things that I know works on mine, but never paid much attention to where it is!
