Tucson R'lister Needed to Look at 964
I am considering a car in Tucson, AZ and would like to have someone look at it to give me first impressions. If you could possibly do that for me (I'm not looking for much, just an initial impression, check of the maintenance records, etc.) please respond to this post. A six of your favorite beverage would of course be involved - 12 if I get a more detailed report.
Thanks

You need more then 'just an impression' to buy a 964. You need a PPI or a Porsche mechanic to come with you. Trouble can be hide nicely, and you find out loo late. Please check thing well, especailly the condition of the engine, Tuscon is not the coolest place on earth............
Most of the time they have 100 F and up, so you need good quality oil, well waxed body etc. A decent PPI will help. May be there is a good dealership in Phoenix.

Thanks. Definitly will get a PPI if the car pans out. Right now I just need for someone to take a look at the car to see if it is "as advertised" and save me a trip from the east coast.

I lined up one Chuck Croteau of Redline Service in Tucson to do the 'pre-PPI'. He was recommended to me and is suppose to be the best p-mechanic in the area. If the car checks out, he will also do the PPI. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the help, and the offers for doing the 'pre-PPI'. I actually got three offers (after I had talked to Chuck, of course).
