David I, thanks for the clarification or repetition ... for some reason I understood your point better this time!

Garrett376, if you get the car that Joey posted, I think you get Randy Pobst in the deal That's certainly something to consider! Joe W.

Trying to get caught up on this thread, so much good stuff going on!

Can’t believe the misses had no issues road tripping with your g pipe, cat bypass combo. Awesome.

Keep the content coming, we all love it!

My bad. I was on my phone, thinking I was commenting on Dingo’s thread, loving all of his recent mods and travel pics... scrolling to the bottom to reply with my message, and must have crossed over to another thread. If you visit Rennlist on a phone you can see how that could happen... funny thing is, later I checked out this thread that I inadvertently “updated” and thought “boy I miss those guys”... sorry about that. BTW, Garrett’s was an awesome Rennlister. Fun to read posts way back and see who already knew how awesome these cars were.

Hey Udo, I thought this was for me haha! Thankyou for the kind words.

Mrs dingo loved it more than me, however I think I may tone it down a bit for my next big trip!

Glad you enjoy the thread, a lot of other things taking my time at the moment but I'll be back into it soon!

Reading the first post I was thinking: the floor just fell out from the market. Time to buy a few 964s... cheap stable platform.

Then looked at the date...dang, about 15 years too late

time machine. I just looked at some old RSAs for sale and how quickly the jump was from 30/40s to 70s+ here although there aren't any dates. Luckily I bought mine in 2003. http://www.rsamerica.net/market/vehicles/index.htm

Every person i spoke with told me "you don't want a 964, they are garbage. You want a 3.2 if you want a real 911, and a 993 if you want a good SportsCar" - "but don't buy a 964, they all had problems"...Fortunately i had already found rennlist and had already done enough research to know them wrong.

You guys are making me sad bringing this thread back...

Lesson learned: don't ever sell any Porsches, even if I think I want a different one!

Default Too right

Hah, yes. I had wanted a 911 essentially since I was a kid. The Boxster concept was a fun distraction but ultimately didn’t really scratch the itch... I kept thinking “well, old 911s are pretty cheap. I’ll get one right after [fill in the blank]”

Boy that sure changed fast.

Ah well. Hindsight and all that. Loving my 964 Targa now though!

That's the response I get here when they ask me "How much?". Followed by "But it's an old car!".

Old is gold baby!
