Track info needed
Dear friends (although I am not a frequent contributor, it still feels right to say this ),
This weekend I am going to be at the Jarama track near Madrid, Spain. I have not been able to find any info on the track through the usual books & internet.
Is there anybody out there that has info on the track that might help someone who is going to see the track on Friday afternoon for the first time and race on it on Saturday. I am looking for info such as correct line, braking points, tips, etc.
Oh, just for the fun of it: here is my beauty!
Take care,
Engin

Apparently I could not post the picture. May be due to the low number of my posts; which seem to decrease over time for some reason.
Jason, thanks for the info. I tried both google and Copernic Agent (which is a good search engine) and came up with some info. I know there are some professional books out there with very good track info, I just can't find any with info on Jarama. Maybe someone has located one on the internet or may point to a book that I have not found yet.
The video game is also a good idea. I heard there is a game with cars as well, which I am going to receive from a friend today.

Thanks Greg. I was not able to post any pictures in the previous attempt, but I'll try again.
I must say that I am not racing my Porsche, but I will take part in the Seat Cup with a Seat Leon. Seat Leon is a front wheel drive, turbo charged (ALS equipped), 250 PS, 1030 kg, very competitive car. It is not particularly easy to drive, but I expect to have a good time.
I'll try to post a couple of pictures next week.

Hey, it was a cool race!
Started 9th on the grid, finished 4th, catching the 3rd guy just at the last corner.
Did the fastest lap of the race and actually was fastest car on 7 laps of 15! Good start for the season.
No sponsor, so I have to pay all expenses from my pocket, but I'll continue. Maybe someone will discover me .
Here is my Porsche and my Seat.

What a cool little car! ...I would like to see more pics of it.
Are you in a series with several other Seats??
I've never heard of a Seat, what engine/who's engine does it use?
You say it's 250HP and 1030kg??
Niiiiice. ...of course, LOVE the yellow.

At the risk of running wide off-subject, SEAT is originally a Spanish manufacturer, that is now owned by Audi-Volkswagen group. Most of the parts are shared between these three marques, and so is the engine. It's the 1.8 Turbo engine you can also find in VW and Audi's. The turbo, intercoolers and many parts are upgraded for the cup cars.
Here are a few more photos. (That's me in the photos )

Oh, and yes I am in a series with 14 other Seats. Here is another picture that shows a few more cars. The cars were not fully branded in the first race. They will have sponsors colors and other graphics in the next race.

Glad you like it. I'm excited!
Next race is April 24-25 in Izmir, Turkey. I'll post some results.
We are in the process of forming the Istanbul Porsche Club. I am one of the founding members and responsible from the Sports Events. I think it will be tough to organise something until the next race (The Association will not be formed until then - buraeucracy ). But, we'll organise our first trackday during the 3rd race on May 22-23 in Korfez Track near Istanbul. Wish us luck .
I'll report both from the SEAT race and the first Porsche trackday in Istanbul.
Later on we may be able to hook up with other Porsche clubs in Europe to arrange trips, etc.
