There was a recent thread which made a light go off in my head. Maybe my original 15inch spare would need replacing 'cos (a) I'd put 17in wheels and (b) I'm about to do a brake upgrade.

Which brings me to my question - will the spare off of a 996 (part # 996-362-150-00) with the same 165-70-16 tire as John Bogg's 965 spare work on my car.

I ask cos I got a new one real cheap, so I'm hoping the answer is yes but I notice that the offset on the 996 one is ET10 while on the original 964 spare it is ET30.

Yes, it will fit...after all, the wheels you have on your car NOW are 996 wheels.
