Okay.

We know since Adrian told us that the glovebox plug might cause odd things to happen - just as it did on his car at the bonnet switch - so you've really got to sort that out (3rd position) since his alarm seems to have done exactly what yours has under these similar conditions.

Sounds to me like the Autowatch isn't the problem since it most likely won't be interfaced directly with the factory unit and would be unlikely to stop the factory unit from working.

Just a thought here; can someone else with a 964 with an alarm (mine is an RS so no alarm!) pop outside, open their glovebox and try and arm the alarm?

Either way this won't be why the CDL is down but it might help us to understand a bit better.

PS Taking the fuse out of the supply side was never going to work since we are talking about negative switching here so no power is required or interuppted by the fuses.
