I have a set of Carrera RS springs for sale. They would require RS shocks (standard Bilstein or Porsche item), and front RS monoball upper strut mounts. I have custom rear mounts that utilize the stock mounts, or you could also mount the rear RS monoball upper mounts, too. You can read an article on installing these parts on John Miles site at www.porsche964.co.uk .

I have a set of Eibach springs for sale, these are the springs listed for the RS America and turbos(red ones). They are slightly stiffer than those listed for the C2. They are like new and were on the car less than 300 miles. They sell new for $340.00 I would take $250.00 plus shipping.

Thanks

John

Is it necessary to replace shocks when adding lowering springs or ok for stock shocks to remain and just springs fitted?

Howard,

I would not recommend just replacing the springs. The OEM Boge struts have limited life span and will slowly wear out. My rear OEM struts wore out after 13 years and 35,000 miles. If you replace the springs now and later decide or need to replace the struts then you would have to again pay for installation (approx. $200), 4 wheel alignments (approx. $125), and corner balance (approx. $100). So financially your not really gaining much.

Thanks for your responses everyone.

John and Jeff...are your springs "progressive rate" lowering springs? How far will they allow me to lower my C4?

According to the eibach web site www.eibach.com the springs are progressive and lower the car Lowers front 1.3", rear 1". I would think you would also need to take into account any change in height you did with the treaded adyustment on the shocks and struts.john

I'm not sure excactly how far they will drop the car. But I think some of that info is listed on H&R's web site. BTW...I'll take $100 for all four springs.

Jonesay - did you buy the ones on ebay - that looked like a pretty good deal.

jeff91C2T - What do green ones fit? the 29834's are for the turbo and RSA and they're red.

BTW - I need the 29834's too.... a day late and dollar short... again....

I believe the green ones are the typical upgrade for C2's. The red's are the Turbo version (they should have never been on my car). I was getting to much squat during acceleration w/ the sport version.

The should fit (although I just sold them).
