Great color and I apologize if I missed this......will you be adding the Porsche script and accompanying stripes above the rockers?

cheers

The lower rocker panel was supposed to be a piece by DP motorsports in Germany, however it was incorrect for the wide body C4 and we couldn't shape it to fit. So the guys at the shop ( Coachwerks in Vancouver BC) redesigned the OEM rocker panels to be able to fit as a single piece right across the bottom. When we are done, you will see a little of the linear groove but it will be flush with the remainder of the side panel and fenders and doors. We are designing a bit of an optical illusion effect with additional decal so as to trick the passerby into thinking there is no groove! Sounds like a line from the Matrix !

The stripes for sure, but undecided about the porsche script above the rocker. There is a plan with the stripes and we are not sure the final effect of it, so this week we will be putting our collective thoughts together to decide the outcome. I also didn't want to commit to any decal until I saw the final color on the car. The color turned out better than I thought, and it sets the foundation for the next stages of stripes, scripts and interior color. Thank you for the kind words.

GentlemenRacer, If you need assistance with design and color options one thought is to engage the guys at NS2 Media now that your car is painted and they can mock up various designs and colors for you. They charge a fee but I found them to be reasonable, they have done basic stripe and script combinations for me to full livery options on my GT4 ClubSport.

Looking forward to continuing to following the progress.

A little more progress. The tail is on. There were some spots missed near the undercarriage, so back into paint it goes.

I'm assuming you are removing the rear wiper? What are your plans for the back shelf pad?

Rear wiper and motor was removed at the onset. It will be replaced by a non wiper rear glass. I didn't see the need for a rear wiper and it lends to some weight loss.

I am not sure what will happen with the shelf. My original thought was to remove it all together with the rear seats. Again mainly for weight loss, but the rear seats are not that heavy and I haven't found an adequate replacement speaker or sound system for the rears, so while not the greatest sound tubes, I am hesitant to remove before I find a replacement. That is stage 2 anyway, which isn't scheduled until after the summer.

Speaking of sound system...this is the only one that counts!

I'm almost inclined to go over to Victoria just to see your car Vince!

IF the ferry and planes are working, I strongly suggest that you go. Not just to see the car, but the OTHER cars in that shop. 30,000 square feet of the rarest and most beautiful classics under restoration!

The problem with seeing such items is that it makes you fantasize long after the encounter and involves you thinking of ridiculous and ingenious plans to try to acquire something.
