not connected, both are female connectors, anyone have their use off the top of your head...? or a schematic inside your head that you can trans....something something into words that i will understand, maybe others as well? thanks...

I believe those are the brown wires are for the heating element for the heated mirrors. If your mirrors aren't original, then possibly the mirrors don't have a heater.
