Default Radio trim removal

Does anyone have a trick to removing the trim piece around the radio without breaking it. I need to slide out the Head unit and get to the fuse in the back. Removing the fuse in the fuse box doesn’t help me. I had the battery changed and I’m not getting the word ‘CODE’ displayed so I can unlock the radio. I’m hoping that the fuse in the back of the radio blew when the new battery was hooked up

I bought tools similar to these:
https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-6943-Precision-Pick-4-Piece/dp/B000NPPBQK/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=O+ring+removal+tool&qid=1563332343&s=gateway&sr=8-4 https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-6943-Precision-Pick-4-Piece/dp/B000NPPBQK/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=O+ring+removal+tool&qid=1563332343&s=gateway&sr=8-4

The small hooked ends are perfect to carefully pull small trim pieces like this.
