The number with the x in it is not the date code, look on other side, it should be there

The tires new are $1,100 plus tax. I'm pretty sure they are a good brand and a good fit for the 964 and 993. My thought was at less than half price they would be a good deal for someone looking for a spare set. My car drove VERY smoothly with them. The 16 inch rims are a great fit for the air cooled cars.
