Default Stolen - 1992 Oak Metallic Green C2 Coupe

All,

My 964 was stolen from in front of my home on Sunday night. I live in West Los Angeles near Century City. Please be on the lookout. I can be reached by email at popowitzd@gmail.com. The police have been alerted. VIN# WPOAB2966NS420410; CA License: 7BAP987. Unfortunately, I can't locate the engine and trans numbers so the VIN will have to do. The pictures are from the day I brought her home. The only change from the pictures is I added L/R black 964 big bolster sport seats. Thanks in advance for your help. -Dave

Dude I am real sorry for your loss.

Car thieves make me sick, they deserve death. Here's hoping you find her in one piece.

Yikes, this is tragic!! I'm so sorry... in this color too......
I really hope they find the car and the people that did this.
Is the car always parked outside or was this a one off? I wonder if they've been planning this for awhile or it just came up as a sudden opportunity.

This has been going on for years in LA. West side seems to be the epicenter. Really sad. Do not park anything air cooled outside in West LA. Fingers crossed your car will show up soon, and intact.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully it gets recovered soon. I just moved out of the area and never felt safe leaving it outside. I remember random people stopping by to ask if it was for sale...

Wow that SUCKS man....very sorry and a very unique color. I live in Little Holmby so not far from you at all. Will keep an eye out....
Make me very nervous about driving mine around LA and leaving it parked on the street anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep this from happening...better alarm system, tracking devices etc ?

This actually makes me super sick to my stomach. Incredibly sorry to hear, and really hoping you're able to recover it.

Cruel and unusual punishment for people that steal 964's. At least start with pulling fingernails out with pliers.

Beyond the obvious: removable steering wheel, steering wheel lock, remove DME relay, kill switch, there's not much you can do to deter thieves bent on taking your car. They will tow it away if they are determined.

Best to not leave it parked 'in public' overnight, when possible.
