You have 4 'core' options really, the 964 LWFW was used through the 997 generation (I have same part on my 997RS).
"stock" dual mass setup
The "RS Spec" setup
The 997RS 4.0 Setup
"other" - which may include aftermarket, a mix of 997GT3/RS/Turbo parts, etc
The 997 / turbo parts are more robust, specifically the pressure plate in the 4.0 setup uses high quality jet nuts to hold it together vs. rivets which had been known to fail and take transmissions with them.
I ended up with the 997RS 4.0 setup with the 964 LWFW (same as 997 part). It works fine, but pedal effort is more. The RS setup will have a less heavy feel due to less clamping force on the pressure plate. Turbo may feel even heavier. I do have a MPL clutch slave cylinder on mine, and I find the effort and feel and progressiveness of the clutch really really good.

Being that I’m building a 3.9 ITB motor and lightweighting the car to some degree.... Do you think the RS setup would be adequate - and if so, do you have the actual part numbers for it or is that not something that OE sells now?

Luke promptly replied - saying that I could put the order in and they would apply the discount - for anyone else who waits for the last moment
Picking up WB side skirts and shark fins - I just don't trust that aftermarket fiberglass for this.

They emailed me right away to tell me most of my parts had to come from Germany. I told him no rush.

I ordered last day of sale. Asked them to hold it for 5 days because I was traveling. UPS tracking says it is now on the way. No issues so far.

Some of my parts arrived a week ago and the rest arrived on Saturday. Depending on the parts the may need more time, just depends if it’s coming from Germany or one of their US locations.
