I've gone the route of the Continental radio. The volume **** comes off quite easily for repainting!

Another option is a block off plate and one of those blu tooth adapters. Totally headless system, but you still got tunes and hands free phone.

In this instance are you simply replacing the amp under the drivers seat with an Amp that has Bluetooth capabilities? This is brilliant for those going for the light weight and simplicity.

For my use I still like the idea of having a head unit for volume and changing songs. I find it distracting to have to reach for the phone, sometimes unlock it and then change songs.

I’m surprised no one commented on the Blaupunkt head unit, it looks like what was originally supplied for tape deck but it’s basically a modern receiver. Price should be reasonable too.

The Continental looks ok, but has too many drawbacks in my opinion.
I am waiting for the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB (the one where Marine Blue posted a picture a while ago) to be released in August and see what the reviews say. On paper it looks great.
I will loose XM radio but it just looks almost exactly like The Reno II which was in my car and has all the modern bells & whistles.
For some reason I can not force myself to like the Porsche classic radio.

I like several of the options posted above.

I wanted to keep things close to stock so I bought a BECKER from this fella, www.swstereo.com , and had him modify the unit to accommodate my iPhone. I can play music, hear Google Maps dictation and charge my phone while no one is the wiser. And I can toss in a cassette if the notion strikes me.
