Question Tiptronic Linkage

Had some engine-out work done and since the re-install of the engine, the tip trans linkage seems to be a little different.

Moving from park to "R", there is very little clicking, or dropping in reverse. It just seems to skip over reverse when going from park. Going from Neutral up to Reverse works just fine.

Really feels like the linkage is not adjusted quite right or some little plastic thing in there somwhere is broken/misaligned, and not allowing it to drop into reverse when going from Park.

The transmission shifts and runs great otherwise.

Anyone have any experience with this problem or adjustin the tip linkage at all? Is it difficult?

Thanks
Daniel

It's fixed. The linkage is easy enough to get to. The metal shroud towards the end of the linkage was separated from the nut on the end. I married them together again. Tightened everything back, and except for a very slight re-adjustment neede for a smoother shift to the manual gate and back, it's like new again.
