Looking to purchase a 964 that's currently located in downtown Chicago. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good PPI service in the area? Thanks.

I'm in the Western Suburbs and Midwest Eurosport in Bensenville and Olsen Motorsports in Downers Grove are both Porsche specialists if you have high end performance questions or want a really thorough check out. If it's a more run of the mill run disaster check you're after then there's one or two other shops I could steer you toward. Good luck!

Perfect Power owned by Sol Snyderman is a great place. He is about 30 minutes north of Downtown but well worth the trip.

Thanks for the recs guys. I appreciate it. I went with Midwest Eurosport. They had an opening this week and the other few I called didn't seem to.


This would be my first 964 and first air cooled Porsche. Seeing all the activity on the forum and passion for this vintage makes me pretty excited to find a good one and get driving. Guess I'll know soon if I found a good one or not.

They did a full tear down and engine rebuild for me a few years back...I'm sure everyone else's reco's are top notch, but you'll be in good hands with these guys. Good luck and keep us updated!
