Outstanding, Thule Man!

Thule does make longer feet feet for the rear bar if you want to level out the load a bit. Certainly within the 185lb. capacity. for that rack setup.

if I do in fact haul tires this way I’ll fab an aluminum trough with tie down points to secure them

That seems like a lot of weight to concentrate on a small area of the rain gutters.

I personally would not run that setup. Your choice, of course.

I could be wrong but I believe I read somewhere that the roof was rated for a max load of 80 kg.

I deformed my rain gutters just tightening down the claims on the roof rack. I haven't put it back on since I too would be scared of all this weight up there.

Man, I love the paint on your car. I don't think there is a color a 964 doesn't look good in, but that silver color looks great.

Thanks very much. It has lots of driving patina which i try to like. Here is a shot from a gathering over the weekend. Whatever the photographer did sure looks nice.

Very cool.

Any way to add a 3rd cross bar to spread the load?

I’m sure there is and I’ve been pondering that

I fondled, er, hand washed the car a few minutes ago and felt no deformity or damage

i think the Thule feet that I’m using do a decent job of spreading the load versus others I’ve seen

and they take seconds to mount and remove
