So it’s safe to run 5mm front and back on stock gear. 7 or more everyone swaps to MSI bolts and nuts correct?

That's what I run on stock bolts. Been running like this for 9 years, with 6 or so as daily driver. Works just fine.

Finally got this project done, and reporting back.
Below is a picture of 15mm front spacers, 22mm rear spacers.
The rear is rubbing ever so slightly, with appropriate sizes 17 inch tires for cups.
When I say slightly, it's only scuffling up dirt on the tire, not gouging it.
The base spacer in the rear is 20mm, so I may change the rear to 21mm for worry free use.
Other than that, very pleased. It looks so much better.

Good info- thanks for the update. What tires are you running? Still 205’s up front? How about the rear-255’s?

How do you like the Conti ExtremeContact Sports? I'm thinking about getting a set for street use. The set of tires I'm on right now are about 6 years old, and it's about time to replace even though they've probably got 85% tread life!

Love the Conti's!
Best wet weather performance tire I have owned.
Do well in the dry too... Haha.

So I reduced the rear spacer down to 21mm, and still it was slightly rubbing.
Just reduced down to 20mm today, and no more rubbing.
My rear camber is at -1.42/-1.47
Could use some more negative camber, but will run 20mm until my next alignment.

Man, that looks good.

Newb-ish question...how are you adjusting in 1mm increments?

Thanks!
Not a crazy question.
I bought "base" hub centric spacers.
(20mm rear, 10mm front)
I then have "shim" spacers to adjust from there.
(1,2,5mm increments)
That way I didn't have to commit to a size not knowing it would work.

My base spacers are Rennline Hub Centric.
The shim spacers are from Elephant Racing.
Note, do not add more than 5mm of shim spacers on top of a hub centric spacer.
You will lose the quality of a hub centric spacer if you do.

Always hussling on those spacers, I came back the 100th time to this thread. Does somebody here remember where to find the document/porsche official workshop note where they state you need larger steering stops (+ 5mm spacers to fit 17" Cup on pre-92 964s)? My mechanic seems to not believe the existence of it and I'd like to show it to him. To prevent rubbing and for passing MOT he mounted even thicker steering stops than he already mounted 2y ago and I didn't drive the car yet but pretty sure the already bad turning radius is now definitely bad.
Thanks to you all!

Edit: Yeah well, I had it wrong in mind. Only 10mm (which are the C2/C4/RS from 92 onwards) steering stops are necessary, in addition to the well known bumper cover plastic edge cut. No mention of any spacer for the wheel. My mechanic added the later model steering stops 2 years ago but now says that for MOT they won't be enough as there is still a very slight rub when driving in circle full lock, something that seems to be an usual test at MOT (no joke). So now he has made even thicker ones, will have to ask him how much. I'd put 5mm spacer on it as a lot of you did on RL to eliminate rub but you'd need a special document to add those and it's pretty complicated in our country for 964s. Will see how it goes and advise.

PS1; U think mine still rubbed with 10mm steering stops + bulletin mod because of the Michelin 205's that have wide flanges + the front camber + the soft worn Boge+HR Sports setup.

PS2: here the document for those of interest - sorry to crash the topic Weekndr
