The black car is a total Pig with Lipstick, the more I read and the more I study the photos the worse it gets. Did you notice the numbers on that motor? How about the laundry list of things the seller couldn't be bothered with?

Bonkers... Fterhrani (losing bidder) & the seller are the true winners of that auction.

Doing weld on or fabricated flares with my build would have added maybe 10k to the cost.

I cant believe the price that car sold for.

Don't get too excited. BAT works in mysterious ways- one of the best 964's ive had didn't do well on BAT and had a fresh engine rebuild on it i had just done (maybe because it was red) but you just never know, basically you need a couple of bidders that really want a car so you can get a pretty high price as this black one did, there were 2 guys on this auction battling it out and went from $63 to $86 with just both of them.

If I didn't know any better this could have been a good marketing ploy for this car. Might be mistaken but I can't believe anyone is that stupid to pay So much extra for a lot of nothing. I have never experienced anything like this. Although the controversy is cheap publicity and he seemed to have his own cheerleading crew.

For what was spent on this car I could have had a complete bare metal windows out strip down and full proper respray that wasn't rushed.

i was going to say the same...I’m pretty sure all our nitpicking resulted in so much more uneducated cheerleading that it caused this thing to sell for an artificially high number...for absolutely no good reason. For the $90k+ the winning bidder is shelling out to be the talk of the next CC meet I can think a lot of other really nice all original Porsche’s this could have bought. What a shame...

Prices are rising but it could be done depending on how far you want to take it. This guy overpaid by at least $35k.

Thx I needed the laugh. I think you are ready for the flip of the century. Just add some graphics and you're set.

How is the project coming along BTW?
