Default The sublime exhaust sound of this 3.8 sold on BaT

I'm not into man on machine love, but the sound of this exhaust is beginning to rewire some neurons in that direction. I loved it so much that I sold my 3.2 and bought a 964 with 3.8 conversion and RS cams. It has a perfectly great sounding setup with stock headers, hi-flow cat and secondary delete. But i sure would like this eventually:

This is the BaT page for the car. I looked through the attached records, and it just says "headers". The muffler is not mentioned.

Here is an image of the setup. Does anyone recognize it?

No idea about the headers or muffler but I see what you mean; the sound is phenomenal.

God damn this makes me want to drive my 964!

As for the exhaust setup, it looks like a fairly straightforward racing headers flowing through to a primary resonator, which is probably hollow.

It looks similar to my Fabspeed RSR setup. Pics here:

I suspect the engine note is attributable to the engine mods, not just the exhaust system. Gorgeous sounds for sure.

I like loud cars. That would get annoying for a street car.
My gt3rs blows 104db at the track and it’s a bit obnoxious in the street.

Nice sound, but not for a street car IMHO. Nor the driving in an urban area as per the video

Those guys build some cool cars. They had a Turbo that previous sold on BAT that I love. Saved as a favorite... I watch this video from time to time, waiting for spring to come.

Whoa, that's aggressive. And I'm absolutely okay with that.

Yes, they do look similar to your Fabspeed setup, though not the same.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by the engine mods? How could they so completely change the note of the exhaust? It doesn't have ITBs or anything like that.

Are there any videos of your 964 with the 991 Turbo muffler? (if I am remembering correctly?)

I believe they are QSC headers.

Is the video speed increased?
