Left side oil leak

Hi,

while sitting for two months, my 964 developed some issues I cannot really explain. This is thread one: Oil leakage.
I have some major dripping :mad: I left the car end of October and came back 6 weeks later. Had a puddle from left to right wheel and approx. a foot in length. Traced it down to the left side, I hope you understand the slice from a video below. Its looking at left side cylinders from below. at the foremost cylinders. Drops are forming on the head, not on the valve covers.

1) Where may this be coming from? Especially, is there a bolt at loc. 2? Look like something in the case..

2) Can I stll drive to the shop? 20 minutes or so...

Having rebuilt an engine, I agree, an oil return tube oring failure is that is the most likely culprit. As long as the system oil level is ok, then it’s safe to drive to the mechanic.

While it is certainly possible the leak is an oil return tube the oil can really travel from the leak to the drip to the floor. I would clean every thing as good as possible then then keep checking after short runs to see where the oil first shows.
