From all the 964 Strosek I just look at, In my opinion yours looks the best as is still keep the classic 911 shape but just make it a cleaner look , witch is what Porsche try to do with the 993 but I think fail with the front bumper and wings combination.

The 965 trailing arms are huge and heavy. Great for high speed stability but were slow at reacting and makes the car less nimble at slow speeds. It limits the maximum wheel width to 10.5 inches I fit turbo wheels easily on my C2 as the fikse's I have on my C2 came from a 965 and are identical size and offset.

Running the narrow rear arms in the rear will allow up to 12" wide rear wheels although the car drives best with the front set to turbo outboard settings. I run 9.5's up front and 11 rears with factory RSR speedlines for the street.

Man, that's a great look. So this brings me back to the car that started me on all of this, pretty much. There's always one, right? I came across the build by "mark my words" - you guys probably know it. Silver RSR replica that started life as a slicktop silver C4.

Since coupes aren't available in decent condition and cabs are quite prevalent I was considering converting cabs to coupes. It isn't that difficult to do.

By slicktop, I meant no sunroof. But I did also consider buying a vert and making it a coupe...until I found this basket case :)

I thought about doing this to mine until I started adding up all the necessary parts. This plus the labor would get costly rather quickly.

Hello Canuck,

Thanks for the pictures great inspiration ! this is kind of what I am trying to achieve, never though about the Strosek body
are they fiberglass ?
I love the side body with no side panels I think it looks much better than the original design, as Porsche did for the 993
is the kit still available ?

kos11-12

I am the 2nd owner of the car. I imported it from Japan.

I have a copy of the original invoice. The car was modified at the Strosek Factory so I do not know if there is a kit available or if there was a kit whether it is available now.

If you can read German you can see what the original Strosek mods were and what they charged to do them back in 1990.

I am sure you have already found their website - https://www.strosek.de/

Sorry I cannot help with more information.

It is costly but you could build a nice coupe with RS WB flairs and what does it matter if it started life as a cab. I wouldn't bother with a sunroof I like the clean lines and wouldn't miss it. It most likely would cost less than trying to fix most of the damaged coupes but not for the faint of heart when it comes to the bill.

I cant say that i dislike any 964, nb or wb, i will probably have both but i started with a wb with the nb trailing arms and love the way it handles and looks.

and as a bonus a stiffer car as you are closing the cell of the already reinforced convertible 964

Your car is awesome. I was just going to post the above. Has anyone converted one to a coupe yet?
