Cold air on my feet. Burrrrrr!

Which specific servo/air mixer in front of the windshield is responsible for the no heat to my feet and far left air grill? I get warm air at the center, next to the clock, but the far left outlet is cold and my feet outlet is also cold. Any pointers on how to diagnose problem??

tha;nx a million

Jaime

Whenever I fight CCU and HVAC issues in my car, I go here for reference.

Also, here:

Good luck man!

klokwerk, thanks.
Jaime, you most probably have a non-op mixer servo or two. Common issue, as mentioned above, use our DIY test procedure to find the servo with problems.
Cheers,
Tore

Hmm, anyone know a video showing removal and cleaning of said servos? I was looking at a video a couple weeks ago showing how to remove and disassemble the servos as well as how to clean them, but for the life of me I can't hit the right internet site where I saw it.

Anyone got a site with video or photos that can help?

thanx

Well, I took look at the servos. I think I may have a hybrid between a 964 and 993. My car is a 1993 964 based America Roadster. My CCU is like a 993 So, the servo that controls heat/cold with the accordion sleeve is located second from far left (as one sees it while hovering over the fuel tank under the hood). It works fine. When ccu is on full cold, the accordion shrinks, then extends full when heat is called. However, The servo second from the full right position also has an arm, but it doesn't seem to move or moves only a little when playing with the controls. This arm does not swing its arc enough for me to know what it does. Anybody know? I tried looking at photos of 993's and 964's. don't have same appearance as mine so???

thanks
Jaime

Agh! so just found out that servos second to far left and second to far right must operate in unison. That's the problem, so my driver side is not moving. Now I get it. thanks anyway...
