Contemplating getting a set of cup 1 replicas, looks like Mille Miglia, but they are sort of local and don't want to have to get them shipped, so the 964 would become a uhaul. Wheels are 17x7.5 and 17x9, current tire sizes are 205/50/17 and 255/40/17. If the tires were deflated, could you fit two in the back with the seats down and two in the front seat? It would be about a 2 hour drive home and I'd assume it won't be that comfortable if it is doable, just need to be able to get to 5th gear.

Tarek would know, he's the master of this shuffle lol. The only experience I have is with my cayenne, and I can confidently say you can fit 2 full sets of tires mounted on wheels 4 x 305 and 4x 245 on 18" wheels. In a 958 cayenne. And still have someone in the passenger seat!

Back in the 1980s, i used to haul 4 race tire/wheels to the track inside my 944, along with other stuff.

4 cup wheels (7, 8) without tires without too much difficulty in my cab (but being a cab only made it easier to load, it would fit the same in a coupe).

When I bought mine the seller threw in an extra set of wheels and tires.

I think that I had the two rears on the back seats and the two fronts side by side on the drivers seat.
It's tight, very tight.....I remember that getting into fifth gear was a problem !
Also I had to move the drivers seat quite far forwards, so if your over 6 foot it's probably impossible.

Rack and snowboard attachment is on my list of things...may have to add roof basket to that list too.

Unfortunately it's a 200+ mile trip which adds up real quick. Would rather put that money into a roof rack.

I'm 5'11" but I already sit a little close. Sounds like sardines in a can!

I have had 4 tires in my cab. I put two in the back and two in the passenger seat. But I was only going a short distance (<10 miles). The tires encroached on the stick shift and prevented me from getting into 5th. I had to scoot the driver seat forward as much as I could stand. It is possible but not sure I would recommend it for a 2 hour drive. Can't you borrow another car?

In my '74 Targa I picked up a set of 7 and 8s Fuchs along with oversized tires. It did all fit, but like Rob mentioned i had to scoot up the drivers seat as well. I'd say it can be done, but there may be better options. If you do happen to make the trip, be sure and share a photo with us.
